Do you familiar with RedGolden colour? Chinese New Year will come soon, and the colour of the month for Imlek is RedGolden. RedGolden colour is everywhere.
Chinese New Year is the most important celebration of Tionghoa people. Red Lampion hanged everywhere during the Chinese New Year celebration as the meaning of luck. I Like to see "Barongsai", do you know? it's a Dragon Lion dance attraction. [Dragon is my shio anyway;)]
Chinese society in Indonesia get the freedom to celebrate the Chinese New Year in 2000 when President Abdurrahman Wahid revoked Presidential Instruction No. 14/1967. Then follow it up with President Abdurrahman Wahid issued Presidential Decree No. 19/2001 dated 9 April 2001 which inaugurated the Chinese New Year as an optional holiday (only applicable for those who celebrate it). New in 2002 (February 12, 2002), Chinese New Year officially declared as a national holiday by President Megawati Sukarno Putri.
